How BellaPause handles your information, and the terms for using our website and waitlist.
Privacy Policy
Who we are
BellaPause is being developed by Susan Samsonov, based in Luxembourg. Until the BellaPause company is formed, Susan Samsonov is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@bellapause.com.
This policy covers the bellapause.com website and the BellaPause waitlist. The BellaPause app will have its own privacy policy before it launches.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Your choices about early access to test the app and taking part in a survey, if you tick those boxes.
- Referral information: your personal referral link, who referred you, how many people you have referred, and your place on the waitlist.
- Technical information recorded when you sign up, such as your approximate location, browser, device type, language and how you found us.
- How you use the website, if we add Google Analytics in future and you accept analytics cookies.
- Anything you send us by email.
We do not collect any health information through the website or the waitlist.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We use a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf and only as we instruct:
- LaunchList, which runs our waitlist and referral programme and sends sign-up confirmation emails.
- Cloudflare, which hosts our website.
- GoDaddy, which provides our domain name and email and sends our update emails.
- Google, if we add Google Analytics in future, and only if you accept analytics cookies.
Any data we hold ourselves, outside these services, is kept in Luxembourg.
Transfers outside Europe
Some of these providers may store or process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for details.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, until BellaPause development stops, or for a maximum of four years, whichever comes first. We then delete or destroy them.
Unsubscribing
Every update email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@bellapause.com at any time to unsubscribe or to be removed from the waitlist completely.
Cookies
The website does not currently use cookies for analytics or advertising. We plan to add Google Analytics in future. When we do, we will ask for your consent first through a cookie banner, analytics cookies will only be set if you accept, and you will be able to change your choice at any time through a cookie settings link at the bottom of the website. We will update this policy at the same time.
Your rights
Under data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive a copy in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email hello@bellapause.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Luxembourg data protection authority, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), at cnpd.public.lu, or to the authority in the country where you live.
Age
BellaPause is intended for adults. You must be 18 or over to join the waitlist.
Keeping your data safe
We use reputable providers with encryption and access controls, and we limit access to your data to the people who need it to run BellaPause.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
Terms of Use
About these terms
These terms apply to the bellapause.com website, the BellaPause waitlist and the referral programme. By using the website or joining the waitlist, you agree to them. BellaPause is operated by Susan Samsonov, Luxembourg, until the BellaPause company is formed.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free. It lets us tell you when BellaPause is available and, if you choose, invite you to early access or a survey. Joining does not guarantee access to the app, a place in any test group, or a particular launch date. You must be 18 or over to join.
Not medical advice
BellaPause is an educational tool, not a medical device. Nothing on this website diagnoses, treats or replaces advice from a qualified medical professional. Always speak to your doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping or changing any supplement or treatment.
Website content
We work hard to keep the information on this website accurate, but we provide it as it is and cannot guarantee it is complete or up to date. The BellaPause name, logo, text and design belong to us, and you may not copy or reuse them without our permission. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Referral programme
How it works. When you join the waitlist you receive a personal referral link. A referral counts when someone joins the waitlist through your link and confirms their email address.
When it runs. The programme opens when the website goes live and closes when the BellaPause app becomes available on the App Store.
Who wins. The three participants with the most valid referrals when the programme closes win. If two or more participants have the same number of valid referrals, the one who reached that number first ranks higher. There are no more than three winners.
The prize. Each winner gets free access to the BellaPause basic paid plan for as long as the app is available, on the same conditions as any other user. The prize is personal, cannot be transferred, and has no cash alternative. If the app does not launch, or is later discontinued, the prize ends with it.
Who can take part. Anyone aged 18 or over who has joined the waitlist, except the founders of BellaPause and members of their immediate families.
Fair play. Fake, duplicate, disposable or self-referred sign-ups do not count. We may check referrals and disqualify anyone we reasonably believe has broken these rules.
Winners. We will contact the winners by email, at the address they signed up with, once the app is available on the App Store. Only winners will be contacted. A winner has six months to respond. If they do not, the prize passes to the next eligible participant in the ranking.
Opting out. You can leave the referral programme at any time by emailing hello@bellapause.com. You will stay on the waitlist.
Changes. If something outside our control means we need to change or end the programme, we will update these terms and tell participants by email.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the website or the waitlist. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg. If you live in another country, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed.
